Duration: 8 weeks
Stipend: $5,000
Travel: $500 for traveling to/from UMD
Accommodation: SQEIP will offer housing on UMD's campus for the duration of the program
Training: SQEIP offers seminar series, short lectures on QISE, and professional development workshops throughout the summer.
Fun: you will have 8 weeks to discover all the fun the Metropolitan DC area offers. :)
Travel Grants: up to $500 for presenting your work at regional or national conferences (e.g., APS, MRS, IEEE)
SQEIP is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents
Applicants should be enrolled in an undergraduate college or university, with anticipated graduation of December 2024 or later
Preferred majors: physics, chemistry, materials science & engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering. Applicants from other fields are encouraged to contact the SQEIP team before applying.
A minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0.
